Three softball players from the 9th District are back on the diamond Tuesday at Woodford County for the 2020 Kentucky Prep Softball Senior Sectional All-Star Games.
Daviess County’s Sydney Howard, along with Owensboro Catholic’s Danielle and Isabella Henning, are joining forces with fellow athletes from the 1st-4th Regions to take on the all stars from the 13th-16th Regions.
Twin sisters Danielle and Isabella are headed to Indiana State next season as both will join the Sycamores on the softball field.
Danielle led the Lady Aces from shortstop during her career at Catholic, but she also did damage with her bat as well with 78 RBIs during the last couple of seasons.
Isabella is no stranger to excelling at the plate either, as her 61 RBIs and 18 extra-base hits in 2018-19 helped the Lady Aces to 32 wins in her final two years.
Howard hit .307 her final season for the Lady Panthers in 2019 and added seven home runs with 27 RBIs.
The 5th-8th Region squad takes on the 9th-12th Region team at 9 a.m. CST, with the second game to follow at 11 a.m. CST.
