Panther trio leads Daviess County in Battle at the Bridge
The Daviess County boys’ golf team carded a 323 Saturday in the Battle at the Bridge at Old Bridge Golf Club in Danville.
Braden Whistle, Grant Boughton and Nick Johnson all shot 79s for the Panthers, while Gabe Vincent finished with an 86 to round out their scoring.
Trinity (Louisville) won the event with a 281, while Andreas Olsen (68) and Ben Wulkopf (69) led the Shamrocks.
Apollo’s Brown leads locals at Barren County Invitational
Apollo’s Macey Brown shot a 3-over 74 (33-41) Saturday at the Barren County Invitational but fell in a scoreboard playoff to Glasgow’s Abbie Lee.
The scorecard playoff went to the first hole where Lee recorded a three to beat out Brown’s five.
Glasgow also won the event with a 318 while Daviess County carded a 381.
Holly Holton (81), Addison Heady (91) and Emilee Clark (94) all broke 100 for the Lady Panthers.
