First came the Dust Bowl in July, then Friday brought the cancellation of the third annual Street Soccer Bowl in Owensboro.
Tournament organizer Nikos Agisilaou posted the announcement on Facebook.
“On behalf of Owensboro street soccer, we are sad to announce the third annual Street Soccer Bowl of 2020 will be cancelled of all divisions,” the post reads. “We apologize to everyone who put effort to make this happen and for a late response. We were awaiting the city board and rights to use the court. This is one of our favorite events to host. To all the teams who have signed up, please we welcome you back next year no matter what division. We will keep growing this sport one day at a time. Thank you all. We will see you next year.”
