Former Owensboro Catholic standout John Augenstein shot a 75 Friday at the U.S. Open at Winged Foot in New York, but it wasn’t enough for the Vanderbilt Commodore to play this weekend.
Augenstein finished at 9-over for the tournament, and the cut line was set at 6-over or better.
Patrick Reed leads the U.S. Open at 4-under while fellow Kentuckian Justin Thomas is two shots back at 2-under.
