The Daviess County Lady Panthers will start the season at No. 1 in the 3rd Region as the coaches in the Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association voted them the top team in the area.
DC finished 19-10 last season and fourth in the region, according to the RPI.
Apollo was picked second as the E-gals were 25-13 last season and one of three teams in the region with 25 or more victories a year ago.
Last season’s top team according to RPI, the Breckinridge County Lady Tigers, was picked third.
Owensboro Catholic took the fourth spot as Owensboro rounded out the top five.
