Daviess County’s Nick Johnson started the week on a high note as he fired a 33 (3-under) during Monday’s weekly golf match among area squads at Ben Hawes.
Johnson’s stellar score also led the Panthers to the victory as they finished with a 148. DC’s Grant Broughton (38) and Dawson Lamb (38) tied for third while teammate Grayson Powers rounded out the scoring with a 39.
Owensboro Catholic’s Jakob Wellman also finished under par as he carded a 35 (1-under) to led the Aces. Reece Higdon (37), JT Payne (43) and Noah Johnson (45) also hit the course for the Aces as they finished second with a 160.
Will Hume led the Red Devils with a 42 while James Rhineburger (48) and Will Rickard (48) broke 50 for OHS. Noah Newton added a 55 for his team.
Apollo’s Tanner Klee led the Eagles with a 47 while Ethan Dych (52), Trevor Cecil (52) and Ethan Clements (61) also contributed to Apollo’s 207.
