Panthers look to rebound on 2nd day of All-State Championship

The Daviess County Panthers carded a plus-42 Saturday on the first day of the Boys’ All-State Championship at the University Club of Kentucky.

The All-State Championships are for the top teams and players in the state, according to the all-state rankings.

Cooper’s Rylan Wotherspoon leads the event at 3-under.

Grant Broughton led the Panthers as he shot a 6-over 78. Nick Johnson (82), Gabe Vincent (85) and Braden Whistle (85) all contributed to DC’s team score.

Apollo, Daviess County represent area at Girls’ All-State Championship

Apollo’s Macey Brown and Daviess County’s Emilee Clark each hit the University Club of Kentucky Saturday for the Girls’ All-State Championship.

Marshall County’s Trinity Beth is leading the field at 2-under.

Brown is currently tied for 19th at 9-over with Paintsville’s Isabella Christy and Cooper’s Eva Maley.

Clark is tied for 74th after she shot 24-over Saturday.
