Daviess County rebounds with victory over Madisonville-North Hopkins
The Daviess County Panthers rebounded after Saturday’s loss to Louisville Trinity as they returned home Tuesday to take down Madisonville-North Hopkins.
The game was tied 1-1 early but the Panther offense woke up as they bested the Maroons 5-1.
Declan Armistead finished with three goals, including a penalty kick in the first few minutes, to lead DC. Tanner Anderson and Hunter Clark also added goals for the Panthers, and Clark has scored in all three DC wins this season.
Hayden Boswell, Eli Watkins, Jackson Goddard and Clark added assists.
DC (3-1) plays at 7 p.m. Thursday at home against Apollo.
Apollo falls to Ohio County on road
The Apollo Eagles were handed their first loss of the season Tuesday, as it was also the first game they’d given up a goal.
Ohio County took down Apollo 1-0 in Hartford. Apollo now sits at 2-1 on the year.
AHS (2-1) plays at 7 p.m. Thursday as the Eagles play at Daviess County.
