Apollo downs Meade County on Senior Day

The Apollo Eagles jumped out to a quick lead and never trailed during Saturday’s 3-1 win over Meade County on Senior Day.

Houston Collins started the scoring when Harrison Bowman found Collins for the goal. Eh Wah scored the second goal and was also assisted by Bowman.

Bowman found the back of the net himself in the second half off of an assist from Teranse Twihenya.

Apollo (3-2) plays Thursday at South Warren.

Red Devils fall to Mustangs

The Owensboro Red Devils are still searching for their first win after falling to McCracken County at home Saturday.

The Mustangs cruised to the 7-1 victory over OHS in the nightcap.

Owensboro plays Thursday at home against Ohio County.

Lady Aces win home opener over Muhlenberg County

The Owensboro Catholic Lady Aces finally made their way to Independence Field Saturday at OCHS as they grabbed a win in their home opener.

The Lady Aces cruised to the 10-0 win over the Mustangs as they now stand at 2-2 on the year.

Ashton Logsdon led the way with four goals while Madeline Hayden added two goals and three assists.

Gracie Johnson (goa, 2 assists), Ella Goetz (goal, assist), Alyson Isbill (goal), Jahaira Ward (goal), Mallary Bailey (2 assists) and Katie RIney (assist) all contributed to the win.

Owensboro Catholic takes on Apollo Wednesday in a 9th District matchup.

Lady Colonels shut out Daviess County

The Daviess County Lady Panthers couldn’t find their offense Saturday as they fell to Henderson County at home.

The Lady Colonels won the match 5-0 and have outscored opponents 32-0 in their last four matches.

DC plays Tuesday at Barren County.

E-gals offense sputters in lose to Meade

The Apollo E-gals were shut out for the second-straight game Saturday as they fell to Meade County 10-0 on the road.

AHS falls to 1-3 after the loss.

Apollo hosts Owensboro Catholic Wednesday.
