Lady Devils dealt 1st loss of 2020 at Grayson County
After their best start since 2013, the Owensboro Lady Devils couldn’t extend their unbeaten start to the season as they fell to Grayson County in Leitchfield.
OHS won the first set but couldn’t win another in the 3-1 (19-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-14) loss.
Lainey Hayden was the lone Devil with double-digit kills with 10 as she also added 24 digs. Jersie Rhineburger (15) and Kennedy Thompson (11) also had double-digit digs.
Owensboro plays tonight at Daviess County. If the Lady Devils can bounce back and earn a victory over the host Panthers, OHS would have the top seed in the 9th District Tournament.
Trinity falls to Muhlenberg County
The Trinity Raiders started their first of four straight away matches Monday but they couldn’t start it with a victory as they fell to Muhlenberg County.
The Lady Stallions won the match quickly with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-18) sweep over THS.
Trinity plays tonight at Grayson County.
