Wesleyan mourns death of Hall of Famer J.B. Brown

Kentucky Wesleyan College mourns the loss of men’s basketball All-American J. B. Brown who passed away Friday morning after a long illness at his home in Radcliff.
 
A member of the Class of 1988 and a two-time All-American center, Brown led the Panthers to the 1987 NCAA Division II National Championship.

The four-year starter holds the career blocked shots record with 121. He scored a 15th-best 1,233 points and grabbed a ninth-best 797 rebounds in a seventh-best 121 games played and started. He guided the Panthers to a 102-27 record and four NCAA Appearances.
 
Brown’s honors include his selection by fans to KWC’s All-Century Team in 2010.  He was voted to the 1988 Coaches All-Great Lakes Region and Great Lakes Valley Conference First-Team squads. Brown was inducted into the Kentucky Wesleyan Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016.
 
Following his days at Kentucky Wesleyan, Brown played for the Harlem Globetrotters for six years.
