Apollo junior Macey Brown capped off her state championship campaign with another accolade Friday as she was named First-Team All-State.

“The All-State Golf First and Second Teams are chosen by points earned in high school invitationals, KGCA All-State Championships, Regionals, and the KHSAA State Championships,” a KHSAA press release stated.

Brown finished fourth in points as accumulated 755 points this season.

“My goal was just to make the second team, but after finding out i was on first team, it’s truly an honor and a great accomplishment in my book,” she said.

Marshall County’s Trinity Beth, a seventh-grader, was named Ms. Golf with 930 points.

On the boys’ side, Rylan Wotherspoon was named Mr. Golf with 1,075 points while KHSAA State Champion Jay Nimmo finished second.

Madisonville-North Hopkins’ Jackson Hill was the lone boys’ player from the 2nd Region to make the team as his 675 points put him on the first team.
