While district soccer tournaments took the stage last week, the six best teams from the area will now take part in the 3rd Region Tournament this week.
The boys’ tournament will take place at Muhlenberg County while the girls’ tournament is at Shifley Park and hosted by Owensboro.
Daviess County and Apollo will represent the 9th District boys’ soccer teams as they head to MC where the tournament starts Monday.
Apollo takes on Meade County in the first game at 5:30 p.m. while Daviess County will face Muhlenberg County at 7:30 p.m. The semifinals are scheduled for 5:30/7:30 p.m. on Tuesday with the final scheduled to start Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Ohio County and Grayson County have byes in the first round.
On the girls’ side, Owensboro Catholic takes on McLean County at 5:30 p.m. Monday while Daviess County plays Grayson County at 8 p.m. The semifinals are scheduled for 5:30/8 p.m. on Tuesday with the final scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
Meade County and Ohio County have byes in the first round.
