Henderson County 5, Apollo 2

The Apollo Eagles snapped their three-game winning streak Tuesday when they fell to Henderson County at AHS.

The Colonels controlled the game as they took it 5-2 to hand the Eagles their fourth loss of the season.

With Henderson holding a 2-0 lead, Eh Wah scored on an assist from Harrison Bowman to cut the deficit to one but the Cols would grab a trio of goals in the second half after leading 2-1 at the break.

Micah Greene scored only other Apollo goal late in the second half as Bowman grabbed his second assist of the night.

Apollo wraps up the regular season Thursday at home against Hopkinsville.

Daviess County 1, Warren Central 1

The Daviess County Panthers were handed their second-straight draw Tuesday as they fell even with 4th Region foe Warren Central.

After striking first, the Dragons came back later as the match finished 1-1.

Declan Armistead scored the lone Panther goal on an assist from Hunter Clark early in the first half.

Daviess County plays its regular-season finale Thursday at home against Henderson County.

Central Hardin 3, Owensboro 2

The Owensboro Red Devils battled Central Hardin Tuesday at Shifley Park but couldn’t get over the hump as they were dealt their third-straight loss.

The Bruins won the match 3-2.

OHS had goals from Saw Thaw and Hser Thaw in the loss.

The Red Devils take on Franklin-Simpson Thursday at home.

Owensboro Catholic 4, Hopkins County Central 0

The Owensboro Catholic Aces ended the regular season a high note as they took down Hopkins County Central to go into the 9th District tournament with back-to-back wins.

Catholic cruised 4-0 as the Aces finish the regular season 8-2.

Freshman Brody Martin continued his stellar campaign with two goals while senior leader Joe Fusco added a goal and an assist. Lance Dickens and Austin Martin each added an assist while Caleb Ranallo had one save in the shutout.

The Aces now look ahead to next week’s 9th District Tournament as they’ll take on Apollo in the opening round. The Eagles won the only meeting this year in a shootout on Sept. 10.

McCracken County 2, Owensboro Catholic 1

The Owensboro Lady Aces couldn’t continue their momentum after a victory Monday over Owensboro as they fell to McCracken County Tuesday at OCHS.

Despite a late equalizer from the Aces to make it 1-1, the Lady Mustangs jumped out in front again as Catholic fell 2-1.

Maddie Hayden scored the lone Lady Ace goal on an assist from Ashton Logsdon.

Catholic has its final regular-season contest Friday afternoon against Meade County.
