Former Owensboro Catholic and Duke star Becca Greenwell is still leading teams to victories at the Sportscenter as her Team Blue won the inaugural girls’ varsity title at the Junior Thoroughbreds hoops league.

Team Blue took down Team White 56-45 as it was led by MVP Zoe Floyd and her 16 points and 10 rebounds. Floyd is a senior at Apollo.

Jonathon Moss was named MVP in the JV boys’ league. Moss, a seventh-grader, finished with 18 points.

The league was sponsored by the Owensboro Thoroughbreds as their season is just months away. Thoroughbreds player Corey Wilford was instrumental in getting the league off the ground with many others.

Mikayla Berry and Hunter Noffsinger were also coaches as the league hit 120 total players.

The boys’ varsity final is tonight at 8 p.m. at the Sportscenter.
