Grayson County 3, Apollo 2
The APollo E-gals snapped a three-game winning streak Saturday when they hit the road and fell to Grayson County in five sets.
Despite being down 2-0, the E-gals battled but couldn’t complete the comeback as they fell 3-2 (25-23, 25-18, 24-26, 19-25, 15-11).
Aliyah Carwile led Apollo with 17 kills and a block while Maddi Boswell (15 kills), Brylee Rhodes (7 kills, 2 blocks 6 aces), Tallie Satterfield (7 kills, block, ace), Allie Hargeitt (41 assists, 2 aces), Anslee Hopewell (20 digs, ace), Abby Spong (8 digs) and Courtney Hagan (6 digs) had solid matches for the E-gals.
Apollo plays Tuesday at Daviess County as it gears up for the final week of the regular season.
Owensboro Catholic 3, Henderson County 0
The Owensboro Catholic Lady Aces swept Henderson County Saturday afternoon in their first action since competing in the Quad State Tournament a week ago.
The Aces cruised by the Lady Colonels 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-14).
The Aces play Monday at home against Grayson County.
