Several local soccer players earned KHSSCA honors this week with two on the boys’ side earning first-team selection.
Daviess County’s Hunter Clark and Declan Armistead were each named to the KHSSCA West First-Team while fellow panther Hayden Glover was named to the second-team.
Clark led DC in goals (20) and assists (14) this season while Armistead finished third on the team with 13 goals and added seven assists. Glober scored four goals and had three assists for the Panthers.
On the girls’ side, Daviess County Avery McNeiley and Steeley Walker, along with Owensboro Catholic’s Maddie Hayden and Ashton Logsdon, were all named KHSSCA West Honorable Mention.
McNeiley led the Lady Panthers in goals with 14 and assists with seven this season while Walker added 13 goals and three assists.
For Catholic, Hayden finished with 17 goals and eight assists while Logsdon added 10 goals and 10 assists for the Lady Aces.
