Despite turning in scores of 72-72 in his first two rounds as a professional, former Owensboro Catholic Ace John Augenstein missed the cut Friday at The American Express.
Augenstein shot even during the two days, which put him in a tie for 108th as -4 was the cut mark in La Quinta, California.
The former Vanderbilt standout finished with 28 pars, four birdies and four bogeys.
Augenstein played his first round at the Stadium Course and played his second at the Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course.
Sungjae Im leads the tournament at -11 while Tony Finau, Abraham Ancer and three other golfers are right on his heels at -10.
