Owensboro bounces back after loss to down Lady Rebels

Tamia Smith finished with a team-high 16 points as Owensboro bounced back after its season-opening loss to South Warren with a dominant victory over Todd County Central.

The Lady Devils took down the Rebels 58-39.

Todd County Central led 15-14 after the first frame but the Owensboro defense delivered in big way in the second quarter as they held the Lady Rebels to just 2 points to take a 32-17 lead into half.

Smith was balanced in her scoring as she scored 8 points in each half. Alyrica Hughes finished with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 6 steals while Brooklyn Williams also added 9 points in the victory.

The Lady Devils play Monday at Ohio County.
