Daviess County edges Henderson County in dual at DC

Daviess County hit the mat Thursday in in a dual with Henderson County with the Panthers grabbing a close 42-39 victory over the Colonels.

Several DC wrestlers grabbed wins with six winning by pin fall.

Aiden Ranburger (106), Chance Carmon (113), Caleb Tolson (126), Alex Elmore (152), Josiah McNeely (160) and Conner Tolson (182), all won by pin fall while Tristan Phillips won by DQ.

The Panthers are back in action Saturday at the Meade County Quads with Bardstown, Taylor County and John Hardin. DC’s next match in Owensboro will be Tuesday at OHS against Owensboro Catholic and Green County, along with the host Red Devils.

Aces deliver another strong performance against Evansville Bosse, North Knox

Owensboro Catholic may be new on the prep wrestling scene but their dominance has been hard to overlook over the Aces’ first couple of matches.

Catholic wrestlers went 15-7 Thursday against Bosse and North Knox with six pins and one major decision.

The Aces took down Bosse 52-6 and narrowly edged North Knox 37-36.

Cameron Devine (126), Cooper Danzer (132), Hunter Monroe (160) and Jaden Fulkerson (HWT) all went 2-0 in the dual and are all 5-0 this season.

Catholic is 5-0 in its first five duals of the year.

The Aces have several matches next week as they look to continue their strong start to not only the season but their strong start as a new program.
