This is a story in a series on local high school athletes signing to continue their athletic and academic careers at the next level.

Daviess County’s Elizabeth Moore will continue her academic and athletic career at the next level, as she’s taking her talents to Lindsey Wilson College in the fall.

Moore led DC with 271 kills last season, the most in the 9th District.

How does it feel to finally know where you’re going to attend next year and to make it official?

It feels great to finally make it official and I’m really excited for what’s in store in my future at Lindsey Wilson.

Why did you choose the school you did?

I chose Lindsey Wilson because they are a great school with an amazing volleyball program. I have known the coach for a while and he’s always been a great help with my previous seasons along with my future seasons.

What stood out about the program and the coaches?

The main thing that stood out is how many girls are coming from different parts of the world to play at Lindsey Wilson. It’s so great to think how many new friends I will make and I am also very excited to learn from some very good coaches.

What are you going to study?

I am going to study criminal justice and do something with law.

What are you going to miss about your team and school?

I am definitely going to miss the bond I have with the girls in Owensboro and miss all the memories we made and goals we accomplished the four years I played at DC.
