Head coach: Mason Head
2019 record: 16-16 (Lost to Owensboro Catholic in first round of 9th District Tournament)

How does it feel to finally have your season starting soon?
Surreal. Dreamlike. Euphoric. In a tizzy.

What’s your outlook for your team this season?
Our goals remain the same: Improve daily and compete.

Who are your top returners (include year and position)?
Our guys with the most experience are outlined below:
Max Holder – Senior – Middle Infielder
Harrison Bowman – Senior – Outfielder and Pitcher
Dan St. Clair – Senior – 1st Base
Tanner Klee – Senior – Outfielder
Nick Judd – Junior – Infielder and Pitcher
Landon Hamilton – Senior – Infielder and Pitcher

Are there any newcomers that could make an impact this season?
Commonplace as it is to say, at this point, I feel like we’re all newcomers. I’m not saying anything we don’t already know, but missing the high school season last year cost us – and everybody else – a year’s worth of growth in our program. Even our returning guys are having some growing pains in the early rounds of the preseason.

That said, I expect all of my newcomers to make an impact. Our personnel is varied in skill set and style, and for our team to perform to the best of our ability, we are all going to have to play our part.

These are the guys who are newer to the varsity team:
Tristin Crusenberry – Senior – Pitcher
Aiden Wells – Sophomore – Catcher
Tyler Payne – Junior – Infielder and Pitcher
Nolan Millay – Senior – Outfielder and Pitcher
Cayden Crabtree – Sophomore – Infielder and Pitcher
Will Strode – Freshman – Infielder and Pitcher
Noah Cook – Freshman – Outfielder and Pitcher
Dayton Brown – Junior – Infielder
Joshua Mayes – Sophomore – Outfielder and Pitcher
Michael Chaney – Freshman – Catcher

What do you need to do to be successful this season?
We have to use every day as a learning opportunity. I put together a tough schedule that will require our very best at an incredibly regular rate. We haven’t played in a regular-season contest together since 2019. There are young men who will be in our lineup whose last competition for Apollo was with our Freshman team. We have a lot to learn and a lot of ground to cover.
