Apollo 61, Russellville 58
The Apollo Eagles grabbed a win in their regular-season finale when they narrowly took down Russellville at home.
Apollo edged the Panthers 61-58 with four Eagles finishing in double figures.
Cameron Frantz led the Eagles with 15 points while Harrison Bowman (14 points), Dan St. Clair (12 points) and Adam Fitzgerald (11 points) also finished in double digits.
Apollo will enter next week’s 9th District Tournament with a record of 5-12 but the Eagles go into the postseason winners of two of their last three games.
The Eagles play Monday against Owensboro at the Sportscenter in the first game of the district tournament.
Meade County 50, Owensboro Catholic 34
The Owensboro Catholic Aces go into the 9th District Tournament with back-to-back losses as they fell to Meade County Thursday at the Sportscenter.
The Green Wave soared over the Aces 50-34.
Parker Gray and Jari Barber each finished with 9 points to lead the Aces.
Catholic plays Tuesday against Daviess County at the Sportscenter when they start their postseason.
Union County 67, Trinity 54
The Trinity Raiders hit the road for their final regular-season game but fell to Union County in Morganfield.
The Braves grabbed the 67-54 win to put the Raiders at 6-16 going into next week’s 12th District Tournament at THS.
Landon Huff led the Raiders with 17 points while Nathan Hernandez with 14 points.
Trinity plays Tuesday against Grayson County in the first round of the 12th District Tournament at THS.

Daviess County 54, Russellville 39
The Daviess County Lady Panthers snapped a three-game losing streak Thursday when they took down Russellville at DC.
The Lady Panther offense picked up steam as the game went on and used a big second half to beat the Lady Panthers 54-39.
Adylan Ayer led all scorers with 23 points while senior Brooklyn Daugherty added 19 in the victory.
DC plays Wednesday at the Owensboro Sportscenter against Apollo in the first round of the 9th District Tournament.
Union County 50, Trinity 45
Despite a big night from Cassidy Morris, the Trinity Lady Raiders fell Union County on Thursday in Morganfield.
Trinity only scored two points in the final frame as the Bravettes grabbed the 50-45 victory.
Morris finished with 21 points and 15 rebounds while Josie Aull added 20 points in the loss.
The Lady Raiders play Monday against Butler County in the first round of the 12th District Tournament at THS.
