During a live show Wednesday morning, the brackets for the upcoming KHSAA State Basketball Tournament were announced.
On the boy’s side, the winner of the 3rd region will play the winner of the 9th Region at 11 a.m. EST on April 1. The matchup will be the first game of the second day of the opening round.
The top five teams in the 3rd Region, in terms of RPI, are Muhlenberg County, Owensboro Catholic, Owensboro, McLean County and Ohio County.
The top five teams in the 9th Region, in terms of RPI, are Covington Catholic, St. Henry, Highlands, Beechwood and Dixie Heights.
On the girl’s side, the winner of the 3rd region will play the winner of the 2nd Region at 5 p.m. EST on April 8.
The top five teams in the 3rd Region, in terms of RPI, are Breckinridge County, Owensboro Catholic, Apollo, Meade County and McLean County.
The top five teams in the 2nd Region, in terms of RPI, are Henderson County, Crittenden County, Webster County, Union County and Lyon County.
