Wrestlers from throughout western Kentucky will hit Apollo Saturday for semi-state with the top two advancing to the KHSAA State Wrestling Championships at George Rogers Clark.
Four wrestlers from each class advanced from last week’s region tournaments with seven locals advancing from the Region 2 Tournament at Apollo.
Apollo’s Cameron Baker (170) and Owensboro’s Nick Avery (152) are coming off of regional championships last week and will carry some momentum into this weekend as Baker, along with David Gerkin (126) and Blaize Cart (285) will get to wrestle inside their home gymnasium with a trip to the state championship on the line.
Daviess County will be represented by Caleb Tolson (132), Conner Tolson (182) and Say Moe (285).
