Russell County 2, Daviess County 1
The Daviess County Panthers could only muster one run Friday as it wasn’t enough to take down Russell County in the 2-1 decision.
Hunter Payne had a solid start for the Panthers as he went 6.0 IP and struck out six while allowing two earned runs on five hits.
Cason Troutman led DC at the plate with his two hits and RBI while Brock Brubaker also added two hits. Decker Renfrow had the lone run for the Panthers.
The Panthers are off until Monday when they head to Breckinridge County to take on the Tigers.
Castle 10, Owensboro 0 (5 innings)
The Owensboro Red Devils dropped their second game in as many nights when they went north and fell to Castle (Ind.) 10-0 in five innings.
Elijah Hampton and Kenyata Carbon had the only hits for the Red Devils as the Owensboro defense finished with six errors in the loss.
Owensboro heads to Henderson County on Monday.
