Apollo 4, North Hardin 3 (8 innings)
Apollo 5, Somerset 3

The Apollo Eagles grabbed two wins Thursday as they took down North Hardin 4-3 in walk-off fashion then beat Somerset 5-3 behind a brilliant outing on the mound.

Against North Hardin, Harrison Bowman may have flown out in the bottom of the eighth for the Eagles but he did it in the best way possible as it was a sacrifice fly to give Apollo a 4-3 win over North Hardin.

Both teams went back-and-forth throughout the game as Apollo also scored in the bottom of the seventh to push the game to extra innings.

Dan St. Clair picked up the win as he threw the final four innings and struck out three while giving up one earned run and three hits.

The Eagles only mustered four hits but two came off the bat of Maxwell Holder as he had a double and a triple to go with two runs and an RBI. St. Clair and Landon Hamilton also added RBIs as Hamilton and Dayton Brown each scored runs for the Eagles.

Against Somerset, Noah Cook threw a complete game where he struck out three and allowed two earned runs on four hits.

Nolan Millay and Hamilton each had two hits as Nick Judd, Millay and Brown added RBIs in the victory.

Apollo plays today at home against Hancock County.

Madisonville-North Hopkins 12, Owensboro 2

The Owensboro Red Devils couldn’t get the bats going Thursday as they fell to Madisonville-North Hopkins 12-2 at home.

Landon Cline got it done with the bat for the Maroons as he had four RBIs with Jonathon Cain getting the win after striking out 11 Red Devils.

Connor Hallmark and Blake Kimbrell had the only runs for OHS as Kimbrell registered the only hit in the game.

Owensboro plays Monday at home against Breckinridge County.

Owensboro Catholic 11, Franklin-Simpson 1 (5 innings)

The Owensboro Catholic Aces grabbed a dominant win Thursday as they took down Franklin-Simpson 11-1 in the Warren County Invitational at Greenwood.

Catholic scored in every inning but the third as they cruised to the victory over the Wildcats.

Finley Munsey got the win after he went three innings and struck out two while also adding two RBIs at the plate. Sam McFarland picked up the save as he struck out four in two innings. McFarland also went 2-3 at the plate with a triple and three runs.

Luke Scaled went 1-3 but had five RBIs and two runs for the Lady Aces.

Catholic plays Saturday at Mount Juliet (Tenn.).

St. Mary 10, Trinity 0
St. Mary 12, Trinity 1

The Trinity Raiders couldn’t find their offensive footing Thursday as they were swept by St. Mary 10-0 and 12-1.

Carter Crisp had the only hit the in the first game for the Raiders.

In game two, Hayden Aull went 2-3 while Landon Huff and Crisp had doubles in the loss.

Trinity plays Monday at home against Hancock County in the 3rd Region All “A” Classic Tournament.
