This week’s Owensboro Times baseball and softball honors go to Owensboro’s Ethan Gibson and Kaylyn Sowders after each received the most votes in their respective weekly poll.
Gibson, a senior for the Red Devils, is the Baseball Player of the Week after he hit .545 with a home run, 8 RBIs, 3 runs and 2 doubles last week for OHS. Gibson struck out six and didn’t allow a run in 5 innings on the mound.
Sowders, a senior for the Lady Devils, is the Softball Player of the Week after she hit 1.000 with 6 RBIs, 3 runs and 2 doubles for OHS last week.
