The Apollo E-gals played the first of two games on a windy Saturday at AHS against Madisonville-North Hopkins but fell to the Lady Maroons 12-2 before falling to Webster County 8-3 in their second game of the day.
Against Madisonville, Apollo led 1-0 after one and only trailed 3-2 after the fourth inning but the Lady Maroons scored nine runs over the next three innings to put the game away.
Olivia Crawford (2-4, R) and Delainee Hayden (2-2, RBI) helped the E-gals at the plate while K’Asia Palmer added the other RBI for Apollo. Morgan Frizzell had a double for Apollo’s lone extra base hit.
Against Webster, Morgan Julian led the E-gals as she went 2-3 with a double, an RBI and a run. Abbie Gore added two runs and a single.
