Warren Central 6, Owensboro 4
The Owensboro Lady Devils saw the field for the first time since March 30 on Monday but fell to the Warren Central Lady Dragons 6-4.
Kaylyn Sowders continued her strong start to the season as the senior went 2-4 with a double, triple and four RBIs.
Lauren Hughes also finished with two hits as she went 2-3 with two runs.
Owensboro (2-1) plays today at home against Apollo in the first of two 9th District games this week.
3rd Region All “A” Classic: Owensboro Catholic 10, Edmonson County 4
The Owensboro Catholic Lady Aces bounced back after two losses on Friday as they took down Edmonson County 10-4 in the 3rd Region All “A” Classic Tournament semifinals.
With the win, the Lady Aces advance to take on the winner of Hancock County and McLean County on Thursday at Edmonson County.
Brooke Hamilton grabbed the win in the circle as she struck out six and allowed three earned runs in 3.2 IP.
Bailey Hamilton (2-3, HR, 4 RBIs, 3 runs) and Gracie Jennings (2-4, RBI) each had multiple hits but it was Hamilton that broke the game open with her home run and four RBIs in the game.
Lilli Grant added three RBIs while Hadley Phelps and Addison Tignor each scored twice in the game.
Before they go for an All “A” Classic regional title, the Lady Aces take on Daviess County tonight at DC then host Evansville Memorial on Wednesday at OCHS.
Trinity 18, Hopkins County Central 3
The Trinity Lady Raiders cruised to a road win Monday afternoon as they took down Hopkins County Central 18-3 in Mortons Gap.
The Lady Raiders play today at home against Union County.
