The Owensboro Catholic Lady Aces followed up their win over Apollo Monday with their second 9th District win in as many days when they took down Owensboro 10-0 at Shifley Park.
Brooke Hamilton was in the circle for the win as she delivered a shutout for the Lady Aces. Hamilton had 10 strikeouts and only allowed one hit in the win.
Hamilton also had a big deal at the plate. She went 2-3 with 3 RBIs, 2 runs, a home run and a double. Lilli Grant and Gabrielle Parsons also had multiple hits while Parson added 3 RBIs and Grant scored twice.
Kaylyn Sowders had the only hit for the Lady Devils in the game.
The two teams meet again Thursday at Catholic.
Trinity 8, Ohio County 7
The Trinity Lady Raiders trailed 7-0 heading to the bottom of the fifth Tuesday against Ohio County but that’s just when the Raiders were getting started.
Trinity score four runs in the fifth and four in the sixth to take down the Lady Eagles 8-7 for their sixth-straight win.
Allie Barnett got the win for the Lady Raiders as she went 6.2 IP and struck out two while allowing three earned runs on six hits.
Cassidy Morris led THS at the plate with her three hits, 2 RBIs and 2 runs while the junior also added a home run in the victory.
Macie Aguilar (3-4, R), Katherine Hibbit (2 RBIs, 2 R) and Georgia Howard (2-3, RBI) also contributed in the victory.
Trinity plays Thursday at home against Muhlenberg County.
