Daviess County 6, Boonville (Ind.) 4
The Daviess County Lady Panthers took down Boonville (Ind.) 6-4 Friday in their first game of the Summer Slam at Boonville.
DC trailed 3-1 heading to bottom of the fifth where the Lady Panthers added two in the fifth and three in the sixth to take down the host 6-4.
Greysee Whiteker grabbed the win in the circle after going 2.1 IP and striking out two while allowing one earned run. Raylee Roby got the start as she went 4.2 IP and struck out eight.
Jessie Daniels led DC at the plate with three hits as she also added three RBIs on two doubles. Abby Newman and Seana Leibfreid each finished with two hits and a double while Newman added two runs. Millie Roberts also score twice for DC. Hattie Newman added two RBIs in the win as her RBIs in the fifth gave the Lady Panthers their lead.
DC plays Evansville Memorial (Ind.) and Pike Central (Ind.) today as they finish the Summer Slam.
Pulaski County 3, Owensboro Catholic 0
Male 8, Owensboro Catholic 7 (9 innings)
The Owensboro Catholic Lady Aces hit the road Friday as they dropped two games at the Elizabethtown Pinkham Lincoln Classic.
OC fell to Pulaski County 3-0 then dropped their second game of the game against Male 8-7 in nine innings as the Lady Bulldogs earned the win in extra innings.
Bailey Hamilton (4-5, run) and Gracie Jennings (3-4, RBI) had big nights at the plate in the Lady Aces’ second game. Gabrielle Parson added two RBIs in the loss to Male.
The Lady Aces continue their tournament today against Hancock County.
Edmonson County 16, Trinity 6
The Trinity Lady Raiders led 6-4 heading to the fourth but Edmonson County put up 12 over the next two frames to take down Trinity 16-6 in five innings Friday.
Macie Aguilar (2-3, 2 runs) and Georgia Howard (2-3, RBI) led the Lady Raiders at the plate.
Trinity (0-6) plays today in the Lady Dragon Spring Bash as they take on Warren Central and Clinton County.
