Apollo duo in 2nd after opening day of KHSAA Bass Fishing State Championship

Apollo duo Alex Morphew and Carson York had a productive opening day at the KHSAA Bass Fishing State Championship as the Eagle duo is in second heading into today.

Morphew/York finished with a total weight of 14 lbs, 3 ounces, on Friday with their big catch of the day coming in at 4 lbs, 9 ounces.

Muhlenberg County’;s Lane Tooley and Camden Harris are currently in first with a total weight of 15 lbs, 3 ounces, with a big bass catch of 3 lbs, 9 ounces.

Action today starts with the boat launch at 6:30 a.m. with boats starting to return at 2:30 p.m. The final 30 boats return at 3 p.m. with weigh-in soon after.
