Bowling Green 20, Daviess County 3

The Bowling Green Purples jumped out to an 8-0 lead after two over Daviess County Saturday as the Panthers couldn’t get their offense going against the 3rd Region foe in the 20-3 loss.

Decker Renfrow (1-2, R), Cason Troutman (1-1, R), Zach Head (1-3, RBI) and Lake Wilson (1-1, R) had the only offensive productive for the Panthers in the loss.

Daviess County plays at Madisonville-North Hopkins on Monday then hosts Owensboro Catholic on Tuesday.

Owensboro Catholic 5, Henderson County 4

The Owensboro Catholic Aces won their 11th-straight game Saturday as they took down Henderson County 5-4.

Catholic led 4-0 heading to the bottom of the fourth before the Colonels scored three to get back in the game. The Aces added a run in the fifth for the victory.

Sam McFarland got the win for the Aces as he went three innings and struck out seven while only allowing one hit.

McFarland also helped Catholic at the plate with two hits and a run. Luke Scales (2-4, RBI, 2B) and Hunter Small (3-4, RBI, 2B) also had solid days with the bat in the win for the Aces.

Catholic plays at Daviess County Tuesday before heading to Louisville Holy Cross on Wednesday for the All “A” Classic Baseball State Championship against Walton-Verona.

Trinity 6, Livingston Central 1

The Trinity Raiders scored in five of the seven innings Saturday against Livingston Central as they took down the Cardinals 6-1.

Gavin Howard got the win after he struck out 10 and allowed just four hits in the game.

Will Hernandez (2-4), Landon Huff (2-3, 3 R), Hayden Aull (2-3, R), Nathan hernandez (1-4, 2 RBIs) and Howard (1-4, RBI, R) all helped in the victory at the plate.

Trinity plays Monday at home against Grayson County.
