Apollo 12, Webster County 5

The Apollo Eagles exploded for seven runs in the bottom of the fourth Tuesday against Webster County to take down the Trojans 12-5.

Will Strode earned the win after he threw 2.0 IP and allowed two hits and one walk while striking out one. Nick Judd, Tristin Crusenberry and Maxwell Holder also pitched in the game for Apollo.

Harrison Bowman (3-5, R), Nick Judd (3-3, 3 RBI, 3 R) and Dan St. Clair (3-4, 2B, 3B, 3 RBI, R) all had three hits for the Eagles while Nolan Millay went 2-3 with an RBI. Holder added a double and two RBIs in the win.

Apollo hosts Butler County on Thursday.

Daviess County 2, Hancock County 1

Daviess County scored two runs in the bottom of the third and held Hancock County to one in the game to down the Hornets 2-1.

Jackson Loucks got the win after he threw 6 IP and struck out four while allowing two hits and six walks. Blake Wilson earned the save in the top of the seventh.

Garrett Small had the only hit for DC while Decker Renfrow and Hunter Payne had the runs for the Panthers.

DC hosts Heritage Hills (Ind.) on Thursday.

Owensboro Catholic 5, Madisonville-North Hopkins 3

The Owensboro Catholic Aces trailed Madisonville-North Hopkins early but OC did what they’ve done all season and got timely hits when they needed them to smear the Maroons 5-3.

The Aces added three runs in the top of the seventh to take down the 2nd Region foe.

Luke Scales picked up the win after he threw the final 2.2 IP. Scales struck out five and only allowed two hits.

Sam McFarland (2-4, R) and E Munsey (2-4, R) each had multiple hits for the Aces while Luke Scales and Jamison wall each had a single and score in the win.

Catholic hosts Henderson County tonight.

Trinity 4, McLean County 0

The Trinity Raiders scored in the top of the first and never looked back Tuesday as they won a road game 4-0 over McLean County in Calhoun.

Nathan Hernandez picked up the win as he struck out eight and allowed just two hits.

Landon Huff led the Raiders at the plate with two hits and a run while Mason Mattingly and Will Hernandez each went 1-3 with an RBI while Mattingly also scored in the game. Hayden Aull added a single and a run in the win.

Apollo hosts Butler County on Thursday.
