The Owensboro Red Devils had an early lead over Hancock County Thursday at Shifley Park but the Hornets grabbed the lead right back to take the victory over OHS.
Hancock County scored two in the third to take a 3-2 lead as they added another in the sixth to put the game away.
Kenyata Carbon led the Red Devils with a double and two RBIs while five OHS players had hits in the loss.
Owensboro plays Saturday at Eastern.
