Daviess County 7, Christian County 0
Male 3, Daviess County 2 (9 innings)

The Daviess County Lady Panthers went south Saturday and had a double head in Hopkinsville as they took on Christian County and Louisville Male at CCHS.

DC cruised by the Lady Colonels 7-0 in their first game of the day but fell to Male 3-2 in nine innings in their second game.

Against Christian County, DC was up 5-0 after five and added two in the seventh to seal the victoru.

Abby Newman (2-3, R), Millie Roberts (1-3, 2 RBIs, 2 R, 3B), Katie Mewes (204, RBI) and Kelsea Roby (2-2, 3 RBIs) had big games at the plate while Raylee Roby struck out 11 and allowed just two hits to earn the victory.

Against Male, both teams scored in the fourth and eighth innings but it was the Lady Bulldogs that grabbed the final lead in the top of the ninth.

Newman went 2-4 with a double while Greysee Whiteker had the lone RBI. Whiteker struck out eight in eight innings of work while Raylee Roby was dealt the loss in the ninth.

Daviess County plays at Apollo on Tuesday.

North Hardin 6, Trinity 3
North Hardin 10, Trinity 4

The Trinity Lady Raiders dropped two games to North Hardin Saturday as they fell 6-3 in game one and 10-4 in game two.

In game one, North Hardin scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to take the game but several Lady Raiders had big games in the loss.

Macie Aguilar (3-4, 2 RBIs, R, HR), Cassidy Morris (2-4), Raylee Higdon (2-3, R), and Allie Graham (2-3, RBI, R) all had solid days at the plate in defeat.

In game two, North Hardin jumped out to a 6-0 lead after two and never looked back.

Aguilar (2-3, RBI, R), Madison McDaniel (2-4) and Abby Payne (3-3, RBI, 2 R) led the Lady Raiders in the second game.

Trinity hits the field again Monday at Meade County.

Owensboro Catholic Classic
Owensboro Catholic 3, Green County 2

The Lady Aces took down Green County 3-2 Saturday afternoon at Jack C. Fisher Park to finish the Owensboro Catholic Classic at 2-1.

Catholic’s victory helped them rebound after Friday night’s 3-2 loss to Warren East as the Lady Aces scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to win the game.

Brooke Hamilton started the game and struck out two in five innings of work but Lexi Hatchett pitched the sixth inning and picked up the win.

Bailey Hamilton went 2-3 in the game while Gracie Jennings had two RBIs in the bottom of the final frame to go with a single. Hadley Phelps, Kailey Hamilton and Ruth Jones all scored in the win.

The Lady Aces host Madisonville-North Hopkins on Monday.

Apollo 11, Central Hardin 6
Greenwood 10, Apollo 0

The Apollo E-gals finished 2-1 in this weekend’s Owensboro Catholic Classic as AHS beat Central Hardin 11-6 but fell to Greenwood 10-0 on the final day.

Apollo knocked off the Bruins in their first game of the day behind seven funs in the bottom of the fifth inning.

K’Asia Palmer got the win and also helped the E-gals at the plate as she went 3-5 with 5 RBIs and a run to go with a triple.

Morgan Frizzell (2-3, 2 R), Abbie Gore (2-4, 3 RBIs, 2 R), Emmie Bullington (3-4, RBI, R), Delainee Hayden (2-3, RBI), Macy Calhoun (1-3, RBI, R) and Mallory Velotta (1-3, R) all had solid games at the plate.

In the loss to Greenwood, Frizzell, Palmer, Bullington and Velotta had hits for Apollo.

Apollo plays at home Monday against Henderson County then hosts Daviess County on Tuesday and Owensboro Catholic on Friday.
