Apollo 14, Union County 9

The Apollo E-gals scored nine runs in the final three innings to take down Union County 14-9 Thursday in Morganfield.

Emmie Bullington picked up the win as she threw four innings and gave up two earned runs. K’Asia Palmer threw the final three frames for the save.

Abbie Gore (4-4, 2B, 3 RBI, 3 R), Morgan Julian (3-5, 3 R), Macy Calhoun (3-4, 2 RBI), Morgan Frizzell (2-5, HR, 2B, 3 RBI, 2) Delainee Hayden (2-4, 2B, 2 RBI) and Bullington (2-5, 2B, 2 RBI) all had multiple hits for the E-gals.

Apollo plays today at home against Butler County.

Henderson County 5, Daviess County 2 (9 innings)

Henderson County and Daviess County battled for nine innings Thursday but it was the Lady Colonels that found timely offense in extra innings to take down the Lady Panthers 5-4.

Both teams scored in the opening frame then there were seven scoreless innings before both offenses scored in the ninth.

Raylee Roby had the loss as she struck out eight and allowed five earned runs on eight hits.

Abby Newman (3-4, 2B, R), Millie Roberts (2-4, RBI) and Kinsey Vergason(2-3) had multiple hits for DC while Hattie Newman and Kelsey Roby each added hits.

Daviess plays today in the Meade County Might May Matchup against Pleasure Ridge Park. On Saturday, they’ll take on Franklin County and Assumption.

Owensboro Catholic 5, Madisonville-North Hopkins 4

Owensboro Catholic held off a late rally from Madisonville-North Hopkins as the Lady Aces grabbed a 5-4 win over the Maroons at OCHS.

Madisonville had a 3-1 lead before the Aces scored three in the bottom of the third.

Hadley Phelps got the win after she went four innings and struck out one. Phelps gave up three earned runs on six hits.

Camille Conkright was the only Lady Aces with multiple hits while Brooke Hamilton had a solo home run in the win. Bailey Hamilton added a double and two RBIs.

Catholic hosts Ohio County today at OC.
