Apollo 3, Breckinridge County 2
Following two scoreless innings after a 2-2 tie, Apollo was able to bring a run across the plate in the top of the fifth and would hold Breckinridge County scoreless for the remainder of the game en route to a 3-2 win.
Emmie Bullington earned the win for AHS after she threw all seven innings and struck out seven while allowing two earned runs on eight hits.
Morgan Julian was the lone E-gal with multiple hits as she had two and scored once. Morgan Frizzell, Bullington, Macy Calhoun, Delainee Hayden and Olivia Crawford had RBIs in the win.
Apollo ends the regular season Thursday when it hosts Henderson County.
Daviess County 8, Greenwood 4
After falling behind 4-3, Daviess County put up five runs over the fifth and sixth inning to come away with an 8-4 win over Greenwood.
The Lady Gators scored in each of the first four frames to take the lead but when the bats woke up for DC, the runs came too.
Greysee Whiteker got the win after throwing 3.1 IP and striking out six while allowing just one earned run and two hits.
Millie Roberts (2-4, HR, 2 RBI, 2 R), Jessie Daniels (2-4, HR, 2 RBI, R) Abby Newman (2-2, 2 RBI) and Sophie Simone (1-3, 2 RBI) all had two RBIs for the Lady Panthers as Katie Mewes added two runs.
DC hosts Butler County on Wednesday then takes on Assumption on the road Friday.
Trinity 16, McLean County 1
Trinity put on an offensive showcase by putting up 15 runs in the first two innings, eventually taking a 16-1 win after three innings over McLean County Monday.
Allie Barnett did all she needed to in the circle as she struck out one and gave up just three hits in the win.
Macie Aguilar (2-3, 2B, RBI, 2 R), Madison McDaniel (2-3, 3B, RBI, 3 R), Katherine Hibbitt (2-2, 2 RBI, 2 R), Cassidy Morris (1-2, RBI, 2 R), Georgia Howard (2-3, 2B, RBI, 2 R), Raylee Higdon (1-3, 2 RBI, 2 R) and Abby Payne (1-1, RBI, 2 R) all had big games at the plate.
Trinity hosts Breckinridge County today in Whitesville.
