Daviess County girls soccer offense was quiet against Sacred Heart, falling 7-0 thanks to an offensive showcase from the Valkyries.

The Lady Panthers weren’t able to gain much control offensively, not having much possession time and not getting off any shots in the game.

Senior Emma Patterson did her best to thwart Sacred Heart offensively, making 20 saves in the match while allowing three goals. Sophomore Emily Baughn also made an appearance at the net making five saves and allowing four goals.

Senior Mallary Glass led the Valkyries with two goals and two assists on the day, while a number of teammates got in on the action.

Junior Addysen Hendrick, junior Whitney Rogers, sophomore Aubrey Nolan, freshman Lilly Lund and freshman Caitlin Chase all recorded a goal each.

The loss moves the Lady Panthers to 6-11 on the season overall and they will look to bounce back when they take on Greenwood at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
