Sophomore Josie Aull nearly had a 30-point game on Monday, helping Trinity (Whitesville) grab a 59-46 win over Hopkins County Central.

Despite getting six points from senior Cassidy Morris in the first quarter, the Lady Raiders offense wasn’t at its best and went into the second trailing 18-13.

Trinity bounced back in the second though, holding Hopkins County Central to single digits and tying the game at 23 going into halftime.

Getting seven points from junior Josie Aull in the third, the Lady Raiders were able to grab a 36-35 lead going into the fourth.

Catching fire at the right time, Aull went off again in the fourth for 14 points. She was able to outscore Hopkins County Central herself in the quarter, helping Trinity grab the 59-46 win.

Aull led all scorers with 29 points, while Morris was the only other Lady Raider in double figures with 15.

Now with a four-game winning streak and sitting at .500 with a 6-6 record, Trinity will be back in action on Friday when they take on Butler County at 6 p.m.
