First half offensive struggles were the culprit in a 48-30 loss to Breckinridge County on Thursday for the Lady Panthers.
Both teams got off to a slow start in the first quarter, as they both sat below double digits with the Lady Tigers taking a 9-8 lead into the second.
Breckinridge County’s offense narrowly cracked double digits in the second, but they were able to limit Daviess County to just three points and took a 19-11 lead into halftime.
The Lady Tigers expanded on their lead in the third, outscoring the Lady Panthers en route to a 32-21 lead.
Daviess County tried to climb its way back towards a win in the fourth, but they had no answer for Breckinridge County’s offense and fell 48-30.
The Lady Panthers struggled all night on the offensive end, as no player scored in double figures.
The loss moves Daviess County to 11-6 overall, as they have a quick turnaround with a home game against Henderson County at 7 p.m. on Friday
