Holding Edmonson County to single digits in every single quarter, the Lady Aces defended their way to a 62-23 win.

Owensboro Catholic’s offense was fueled by perimeter shooting to start the game.

Freshman Karmin Riley hit three threes, while the team got 12 of its 16 from beyond the arc.

With the Lady Cats being held to single digits, this hot shooting helped the Lady Aces take a 16-7 lead into the second.

Owensboro Catholic grabbed 16 more points in the second quarter, stifling Edmonson County and taking a 32-13 lead at halftime.

The Lady Aces tried to ensure there would be no comeback in the third, holding the Lady Cats to just three points.

Leading 45-16 to open the fourth, Edmonson County’s offense couldn’t muster up enough offense and Owensboro Catholic became the All A Regional Champions with a 62-23 win.

Riley led the way with 17 points, while sophomore Hailee Johnson and junior Lauren Keelin finished with 11 points each.

The Lady Aces winning streak now sits at seven straight, now giving them an overall record of 12-4.

Now Owensboro Catholic has a few days off before they return to the hardwood when they battle with Sacred Heart on the road at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
