Holding Edmonson County to single digits in each quarter, the Lady Raiders’ all-around team effort helped them earn a dominant 53-25 win on Friday.

Trinity (Whitesville) wasted no time setting the tone for the game, holding the Lady Cats to two points in the first quarter.

The Lady Raiders replicated its defensive efforts in the second quarter while using a balanced offensive attack, going into halftime owning a 26-10 lead.

Senior Cassidy Morris came out of the locker room firing for Trinity, scoring eight of her 12 points on the night. Combining for half of their points in the third, Morris nearly outscored Edmonson County herself as the Lady Raiders went into the fourth up 41-19.

It was much of the same story for both teams in the fourth, as Trinity’s success on both ends of the floor helped them secure the 53-25 win.

Morris led all scorers with 12 points, as junior Josie Aull followed with 10 points. As a team, Trinity had all 10 players on the roster score on the night.

The win snaps a three-game losing streak, as the Lady Raiders now sit 4-6 overall going into a 10 a.m. home game with Evansville Christian on Saturday.
