Women’s Golf competes at Saginaw Valley Invitational

Competing in their first event of the 2022 calender year, the Kentucky Wesleyan women’s golf team improved on their score by 13 strokes on the second day (359-346) to take 10th at the Saginaw Valley Invitational. Wesleyan finished with a two-round score of 705 (+129). 

Leading the way for the Panthers was freshman Megan Bryan, who shot a two-day total of 171 (+27). Her rounds of 86-85 put her in a tie for 41st. Maddie Zimmerman shot a team low 84 on day two to bring her two-round total down to 176 (+32) and tie for 52nd. Erin Sexsmith also improved her score on day two (90-87) and tied for 55th with a total of 177 (+33). Samantha DeSpain rounded out the scoring for the Panthers with a 181 (+37) to take 59th. 

The Panthers will be back in action next Saturday/Sunday when they play at the Klash in Kentucky at the Perry Park Resort in Perry Park, Kentucky.
