The Lady Aces couldn’t be stopped on Monday, exploding offensively while getting a combined perfect game from junior Alexis Hatchett and eighth grader Hannah Robbins to defeat McLean County 18-0.
Hatchett struck out all six of the batters she faced in two innings, while Robbins struck out all three in her lone inning in the circle to help Owensboro Catholic grab its first win of the 3rd Region ‘All A’ Classic.
The Lady Aces had 10 players record an RBI on the day, with sophomores Ruth Jones and Maci Merritt and freshman Tyranda Stuart led the way with two each.
Owensboro Catholic moves to 9-1 overall with the win. and has a quick turnaround as they will face off with Evansville Memorial at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
