9th District softball players to watch this postseason

With the regular season having come and gone, the 9th District Tournament opens up play today and below are some of the key contributors to watch out for as each team looks to make a deep postseason run.

No. 1 seeded Daviess County will take on the No. 4 seeded Owensboro at 7 p.m. and the E-gals and Lady Aces will face off on Wednesday, with gametime set for 6 p.m. 

Owensboro

  • Emmi Connor- .333 AVG, 11 RBIs, 15 stolen bases
  • Ellington Embry- .286 AVG, 22 RBIs, two stolen bases
  • Sophie Moorman- .363 AVG, 21 RBIs, three stolen bases
  • Addison Hill- .370 AVG, 12 RBIs, eight stolen bases

Apollo

  • K’Asia Palmer- .391 AVG, four home runs, 26 RBIs, two stolen bases
  • Morgan Julian- .407 AVG, 16 RBI, four stolen bases
  • Arianna Ramirez- .344 AVG, seven home runs, 26 RBI
  • Mallory Velotta- .333 AVG, six home runs, 12 RBI, 19 stolen bases
  • Emmie Bullington-.275 AVG, 10 RBIs, 2.87 ERA, 14-6, 91 K’s in 119 innings pitched

Daviess County

  • Jessie Daniels- .471 AVG, 12 home runs, 30 RBIs
  • Millie Roberts- .381 AVG, five home runs, 14 RBIs
  • Hattie Newman- .323 AVG, three home runs, 17 RBIs

Owensboro Catholic
