The Lady Aces and E-gals fell in their respective matchups on Saturday, while the Lady Panthers split their doubleheader against Anderson County & Murray.
Owensboro Catholic vs. Evansville Central
The Lady Aces had their two-game winning streak snapped on Saturday, as they suffered a 3-1 road loss to Evansville Central.
Owensboro Catholic struggled to get anything going offensively, as they were held to less than two goals for the second time this season. Senior Maddie Hayden was responsible for the lone goal, while junior Mallary Bailey dished out the assist.
The Lady Aces fall to 4-2 overall on the season with the loss, as they will take the day off before another road matchup on Monday against Bowling Green at 7 p.m.
Daviess County vs. Anderson County & Murray
The Lady Panthers had a strong weekend, splitting its doubleheader against Anderson County and Murray on Saturday.
Daviess County got off to a strong start Saturday, putting up a trio of goals against Anderson County. senior Brooke Schwartz led the way in the opening game, putting up a brace.
Sophomore Kate McCain added the third goal of the day, while freshman Bailey Brown chipped in the lone assist.
The Lady Panthers did not have the same luck in game two on Saturday, as the Lady Tigers were able to find the net three times.
Meanwhile, Brown was responsible for the only goal for Daviess County, as they fell to Murray 3-1.
The Lady Panthers sit at 4-2 following the split doubleheader, as they will get right back to action on Sunday with a matchup against Hyde, Tennessee, at 9 a.m.
Apollo vs. Ohio County
The E-gals had their losing streak extended to three games on Saturday, falling to the defending 3rd Region Champion Ohio County Lady Eagles 11-1.
Apollo wasn’t able to stifle Ohio County’s offense on Saturday, as they rattled off 11 goals on the evening. senior JoHannah Hutchinson had 12 saves, but faced a barrage of shots throughout the contest.
The E-gals had six shots on the day, with four of them on goal. junior Jolie Foster was the lone goal scorer on the day, doing so unassisted.
Apollo falls to 1-4 overall, as they will take a few days off before facing Daviess County at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
