Looking to bounce back from a tough road loss on Saturday, the Lady Aces soccer team battled in a hard-fought tie with Bowling Green at 0-0 to open up the week.
Owensboro Catholic and the Purples did their best to create as much offense as possible on Monday, rattling off shots back and forth. The Lady Aces were able to get 12 shots in a physical match, but were unable to sink any.
However, junior Abby Payne’s 15 saves in net made the difference, keeping things knotted up at 0-0 when time expired. Owensboro Catholic wastes no time getting back on the pitch either, as they will host Owensboro in a district matchup at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
