Owensboro traveled to take on the Colonels and left in a tie on Tuesday, while Daviess County started the week off with a big win over South Warren.

Owensboro vs Henderson County

The Red Devils hit the road to take on Henderson County on Tuesday, coming away with a 1-1 tie to start the week.

Owensboro found themselves trailing 1-0 at halftime, but freshman Junior Rugama was able to find the back of the net in the second half to make it 1-1. Junior Alex Carpenter had a strong game in net, making 10 saves to help close out at 1-1 tie.

The Red Devils now sit at 8-6-3 overall following the tie, as they have a day off before another road contest on Thursday against Greenwood at 7 p.m.

Daviess County vs South Warren

The Panthers were able to sneak away with a win on Tuesday, getting a late goal to close out the regular season by defeating South Warren 1-0.

Sophomore Lukas Humphrey helped spark the offense with the game tied at 0-0 in the 67th minute, crossing the ball in the box to senior Ahmed Abdullahi who found the back of the net to make it a 1-0 game. Junior Connor Johnson managed to stay strong in net, making six saves to earn the 1-0 shutout win.

Daviess County now sits at 14-4-1 overall, as the Panthers will have a week off before taking on Apollo in the first round of the 9th District Tournament.
